Founded as Moment Fintech and first launched in 2017 at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s HKMA FinTech Day during Hong Kong Fintech Week, the platform was Asia’s first ESG-focused Fintech and Regtech Accelerator and Venture Builder — applying an institutional framework — and bridging the gap for financial institutions, Fintech, and Regtech companies to come together with the goal of enabling the wider transformation within the emerging technology landscape.
Over time, it became clear that technological transformation was no longer sector-specific — it was systemic. As markets evolved and our scope expanded, the platform evolved into a broader strategic platform across frontier industries — today, we operate as Moment Frontier, a strategic platform, investing in and building with entrepreneurs across the frontier industries.

OUR EVOLUTION
Moment Frontier reflects a broader structural convergence reshaping technology, capital, and infrastructure.
Founded in 2017 as Moment Fintech, our initial focus centered on financial infrastructure, regulatory architecture, and ESG integration within institutional markets.
Between 2018 and 2021, we worked alongside entrepreneurs, early stage companies, financial institutions and ecosystem partners to support and scale fintech and regtech capabilities across Asia. These engagements deepened our understanding of cross-border governance, programmable capital, and infrastructure-level innovation.
From 2022 onward, strategic research and advisory expansion. The acceleration of intelligent systems, automation, advanced infrastructure, and applied biosciences revealed a broader pattern: transformation was no longer sector-specific. It was systemic.
By 2025, platform mandate broadened and it became clear that durable opportunity would emerge at the convergence of:

David Liu is the Regional Managing Director and Head of APAC for the Chief Growth Office at one of the leading global advisory firms, based in Hong Kong and leads Asia Pacific strategy, innovation, and corporate finance along with leading ESG Advisory services in the region. In addition, he serves as City Leader for Hong Kong, is an operating member of the APAC Management Committee, and a member of the APAC regional board for the firm’s Charitable Foundation. He leverages more than 20 years of experience advising and working with financial institutions, private equity, family offices, venture capital and financial technology firms across engagements involving capital markets, M&A, and digital assets.
David was involved with Fintech before the term became commonplace and previously held senior roles at global financial institutions and venture backed companies.

Mike Gault is CEO and Founder of Guardtime, the world’s leading blockchain platform company. Guardtime was founded in 2007 with a mission to make the world's information universally reliable, without reliance on the risks of human trust. Our invention, KSI, was originally designed to support the Estonian Government in its quest for zero-trust systems i.e. systems that can provide formally verifiable mathematical proof of the correctness of operations. From these origins in protecting state data, Guardtime has developed a range of applications for financial services to provide timestamping and ultra-secure data management on an enterprise scale and has been further deployed across governments.
Mike has a PhD in the “Numerical Analysis of Advanced Semiconductor Devices” and prior to founding Guardtime spent 10 years in financial services as a quant and derivatives trader with Credit Suisse and Barclays Capital.

David oversees the strategy and operational objectives of Marsh McLennan Asia including Marsh and Guy Carpenter (insurance and reinsurance), Mercer (human capital consulting), and Oliver Wyman (strategy and management consulting).
Marsh McLennan released its first comprehensive Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) Report, Changing What’s Possible, in 2021. The report highlights Marsh McLennan’s commitments to reduce its carbon emissions by 15% below 2019 levels by year-end 2025, lead the change on inclusion and diversity, and continue to embed ESG considerations into its strategy to benefit all stakeholders.
David has over 30 years of experience in the Insurance industry and previously served as CEO of Marsh Asia, CEO of Marsh Hong Kong and CEO of Marsh Philippines.
